Cotton

Established by Our late father Abubaker Al Siddig in 1967, We started working in the cotton business as a cotton surveyor in Port Sudan, by superintending, sampling, reweighing, classing and testing of Cotton. The work that we have done has made us more experienced and prepared to expand our services to become cotton traders by establishing a Cotton company named Africot in Beirut, Lebanon, UP to 19711, (Cotton was nationalixed by the Government of Sudan from 1971 - 1999). In 2018, We reactivated our cotton trade by using our father's relations and friends in Genveva and Trieste and by reactivating our membership in IRC, ICA and Bermen cotton association. We exported more than 8000 tons of Sudanese Raw Cotton to Pakistan, Bangladesh and Egypt and we are focusing on exporting 10,000 tons by 2020 - 2021. We export two varieties of cotton, Short staple - Acrain, and Medium staple - Acala.

Seeds

To contribute to the development of the seed industry by using science and technology to provide improved high-quality seeds to increase production and productivity. We have contacts with American, Israeli and European companies to import improved and hybrid seeds to help Sudan become a source of vegetables that provide food for the world around us. In the field of onion seeds, 'Al-Baftaim' product took the lead in production, which put the country in a position to export onions to the Gulf countries and South Sudan, noting that we obtained a license to import the improved Al-Baftaim seeds and it covers three types, red, yellow and white. We will announce the seeds that we seek to import next. In the field of research and consulting, we are linking producers with research specialists through which we provide technical advice, and we have a group specializing in business development and we have also a commercial department.
