Our principle company was established since 1967, also known as Younis Company Limited. Then it became Africot .Our core business was the collection and export of Cotton from Sudan. We exported more than 170 thousand tons of Sudanese Raw Cotton to Germany, Italy, China and India up to 1971, (cotton exported by government 1971 - 1999) that we are working for 53 years. Our late father Abubaker Al Siddig (Bob) in 1967 started working in the cotton business as a cotton surveyor in Port Sudan, by superintending, sampling, reweighing, classing and testing of Cotton, During that time he had the agency representation for Control Union (Bremen, Germany), OMIC (Japan) and Francesco Parisi (Italy) which helped us become certified. The work that we have done has made us more experienced and prepared to expand our services to become cotton traders by establishing a Cotton company, named Africot in Beirut, Lebanon. We exported more than 200 tonnes of Sudanese Raw Cotton to Italy, China and India up to 1971, (cotton was nationalized by the Government of Sudan from 1971 - 1999). We have been working for 53 years. In 1991, the third generation came into existence and managed the company and changed the name of the Company to Quality House - (QH). In addition to Cotton, we expanded our work to include other products such as the export of Gum Arabic to Germany, France and Italy. We also have agreements with WFP to export Sorghum to Chad and South Sudan, in addition to that, we also export Chrome, Ground Oils, Sesame and Groundnuts.
